For our 3rd image, we present one of the stars of the Messier catalog: M13 - the great cluster in the constellation Hercules.

It is one of the 150 globular clusters in our galaxy.
Located about 25,000 light-years away from us, M13 contains approximately 100,000 stars.
Globular clusters are so dense that sometimes stars collide, creating new, more massive, and hotter stars known as blue stragglers.

At the top right of the image, you can see the galaxy NGC6207, which is much further away, at about 55 million light-years.

The image processed with 2x drizzle allowed us a nice crop on the cluster.

Pour notre 3ème image, nous vous présentons l’une des stars du catalogue Messier : M13 - le grand amas de la constellation d’Hercule

C’est l’un des 150 amas globulaires de notre galaxie.
Eloigné de nous de ~25 000 années-lumière M13 comporte environ ~100 000 étoiles.
Les amas globulaires sont si denses qu’il arrive parfois que certaines étoiles entrent en collision créant de nouvelles étoiles plus massives et plus chaudes : des trainardes bleues.

En haut à droite de l’image on peut observer la galaxie NGC6207 qui se trouve elle bien plus loin, à ~55 millions d’années-lumière.

L'image traitée en drizzle x2 nous a permis un joli crop sur l'amas
